Are You Gonna Bang Though?

I AM ADDICTED TO BUYING CLOTHES.

yet i still dont seem to have enough of the right stuff.
so this is driving me towards my ultimate goal in life to be rich and successful and have millions of clothes :D
my plan of the year is to hit charity and vintage shops, find some cool things then be able to get clothes from places like whistles, topshop and miss selfridges (fav shops) and put together to form a whole new Tash ready to stand out and look awesome at uni :D

My three fashion idols of the moment, Fearne and Jameela have my dream jobs which I will reach and Katy Perry is just AMAZING. Being a T4 presenter is one of my all time dreams ambitions and MUST DO's so Jameela is amazing. But then of course working for a constitution that is as immense as the BBC, like Fearne, which would be a good career for past 28 when you're too old for channel 4 :)

I love Fearne's rocky edge to all her clothing yet she's still really feminine.. urban outfitter clothes are a must for this look. Jameela has the best legs ever, like they're insanely long and amazing so she fittingly always has them out by wearing lil prom dresses which she dresses down with blazers and cardies. Katy Perry always manages to look amazing and with an edge of almost perfection about her, I love her wacky outfits she wears and the body con look she goes for. I'm getting fitter and slimmer so hopefully will be able to pull that one off soon.

the media coursework is coming along nicely and i have managed to make it look a lot like an E4 program so hopefully i will get all the marks i need. I've been experimenting with blasts of colour that contrast with the moody characters and the desaturated look of the poster.

signing off.

Chocolate Cake

ok so I have totally neglected blogging and have so much to write about as this past week has been pretty hectic.
We didn't end up going back to college until thursday as on wednesday morning another 4 inches of snow fell which I was not happy about but then got back for thursday which was full of lots of 'hello' 'helloooo' 'heyya' and 'how was your xmas?' 'how was your new years!!' etc.

But Friday was the day of George's funeral. I was up at the hall at half 10 to practise the songs with two guys I'd never met before. And we sounded pretty good, due to the fact we'd all practised our separate bits the matter of just pytting it all together was quite simple. We then helped move all the food and there was soo much, they had catered for over 300. But then there was the main piece which was Georges cake. It was made up of about 20 cakes all put together to create one huge gigantic cake, then had been covered completely in chocolate frosting and had George written in marsh mallows. It was amazing and very fitting as, if there was one thing which George loved, it was food especially cake.
The service at the church was heart breaking and I haven't felt so awful. His longest and best friend David made the best speech ever about their times together which had me in tears, he was amazing and so composed and didn't even falter once. A slide show of many photos of George and his life had the whole church in tears but funny anecdotes told by family and friends had peopel laughing in agreement. Te biggest 'George' part of it was the first song we sang '500 miles' by the proclaimers. I managed to cry, laugh and sing at the same time.
We then moved across to the hall and it was unbelievable how packed it was, there must have been 600 people there and after such an awfully sad service the atmosphere of the hall was buzzing and so amazing. Old friends caught up with each other and it was just lovely. It came to the time when I had to sing with the boys, I was so nervous as there were loads more people than I expected. But we had set up in the foyer so we just thought people would stay in the twomain halls to listen but within minutes of the boys warming up the foyer was full with everyone and it was amazing yet also scary.
I love singing and singing in public is equally amazing because you get the rush. Rush of nerves adrenaline and excitement which I think always makes me sing at my absolute best and I always beat my practising. the four songs were spot on and we will rock was amazing because everyone was clapping along and singing too which made it extra special and something everyone could get involved in. George loved Queen and would have definitely enjoyed it, he would have been down the front singing at the top of his voice if he had been there.

R.I.P George, you will be missed and your smile will never be forgetten.
xx

So I'm back at college and the work is piling up, I have managed to finally take my first lot of photos for media :D and I love themm. So far I have taken the ones for my main poster which features the four main people and now all I need to do is do smaller ones about them individually.

I have edited this one on photoshop and desaturated the colour to create a sort of edgy feel for my documentary, although I dont have the title or anything on it yet I think this photo works really well and makes the audience identify the different characters.
there is another one which I considering using which doesn't have Gee in (far right) but has my friend Lacey instead.

will have to decide which one I use as I love them both. I want to have the next lot as if they are being interrogated by the police and like have light shining in their face, another where they are caught in a search light looking extremely guilty. The two posters I have already taken are done in a sort of line up pose, like the Usual Suspects poster. I just feel it is finally coming together.

Restarted the burden of History coursework (significance of Poison Gas in WW1), oh the utter joy of it. But I do need to get cracking so that I am on top of as much work as possible!!

English coursework back on monday and so far eveyrone has been told that their's is inadequate and not great sooo i am not looking forward to that!

Now Drama, today we had a realisation. Our devised piece needs to be finished and at 20minutes long by next friday. At the start of our lesson we realised that ours stood at 7 minutes then lookign through our piece realised the 3/4 of it was GCSE standard. SO we have scrapped lots and have actually started to devise some kick ass stuff! but as I seem to be the main person coming up with ideas I am now having to write four monlogues by monday. I offered to do this and I don't begrudge doing it as I love to write especially creative writing but its loads. Its about 4 different people who have been connected by a gas attack in WW1 (see how i'm linking it with coursework, just trying to help myself out a bit :D) and at the start of them speaking they all seem to be completely different people but then you start to see the links. But ye i'm hoping some clever script will save our arses mark wise. so fingers crossed.
Peace out College shizz.

I have discovered a new favourite film!! FERRIS BUELLERS DAY OFF!! love it :) its just a classic film and can be watched over and over again and it still makes you laugh and cringe and just have a great time watching it!!

This has been a long post and i've forgotten most things to say but will write a blog sooner than I did last time with that stuff in.

much love xx

You made a woman meow?!

Finally back to college tomorrow after an extra week off due to the snow! I have been so bored and on the verge of going crazy after being stuck inside with revision and work to do but tomorrow I can go back to being chatty, smiley and social once again :) definitely cannot wait. Shame its a wednesday when we go back as I only have drama lesson then just tutorial and enrichment but we'll get back into the swing of things soon :)
I will be using the enrichment time productively to practise singing as I'm singing in a band at a funeral thing on friday. Family friend died christmas eve, he was 16 and he just got really ill and couldnt fight back. So awful and massive shock for everyone and the funeral should be hard but afterwards there is gonna be a party to like celebrate his life so i have joined up with two of his cousins who play guitar and drums. I haven't sung in ages and I'm soo out of practise but I hope it all goes well and I have my friend Lacey helping me out tomorrow and shes amazing at singing so she'll give good advice and constructive criticisms lol
Songs we will be doing:
Photograph - Nickelback
Black Horse and a Cherry Tree - KT Tunstall
Mr Brightside - the Killers
We Will Rock You - Queen
They were all favourites of George's and everyone should enjoy them and hopefully join in and sing along to maybe help me out if I need it :)

On one of my many days stuck in the house, no possibility to drive anywhere, a mountain of work before me and considerably cold due to build up of snow I watched Harry Met Sally. Oh my days what a film. Its so good and even thought its quite old it is still such a good watch and makes you feel so happy when they FINALLY get together at the end. Definitely makes me believe in fate even more. They meet like four times before they become friend and then finally fall in love. It is so cute. My parents met a number of times before my dad asked my mum out. My mum even went out with my uncle and never got round to meeting my dad so that clearly wasn't meant to be.
Back to Harry Met Sally it is so good, the dialogue and script is so well thought through and it all sticks in your mind. So I will leave you with one of my fav parts of the film.

Harry: I've been doing a lot of thinking, and the thing is, I love you.
Sally: What?
Harry: I love you.
Sally: How do you expect me to respond to this?
Harry: How about, you love me too.
Sally: How about, I'm leaving.

Snow ball fights and hot chocolates

It has officially snowed in Surrey and it has snowed hard! When i woke up this morning there was a foot of snow outside and when i let my cat go out, she completely disppeared. Although I wasn't really up for going out I ended up heading out on a trek with Jess, Sammie and Leanne. Sledging was in order and a few snow ball fights on the way. I fell off the sledge a few times and one time even careered off the road a went straight into a snow bank. Not fun but i love the photo that Jess managed to take with Sammie just standing over me laughing.

College was cancelled which was annoying as it was meant to be our first day back. Its sad, I know, but I miss seeing people from college that I can't easily see outside of lessons. I am also relieved because lie ins are amazing and I'm not gonna get any once I'm back at college and I'm going to have constant work to do all the time.
But the snow didn't just effect Farnborough Sixth it managed to up root the whole of the UK with motorways being closed and everyone being told to stay indoors. Some places dont even have power, which is worrying because as I type the lights keep dipping. But we'll set up a campfire in the back garden i'ms ure if the heating fails.

I was linked to an article by the New York Times by a friend on facebook. It was only to show me that they had used a picture of Fleet Station (which is near to me) and a picture of Farnborough (where I go to college). But then I read the article which was written by an American journalist called Landan Thomas Jr. and was not impressed with the level of criticism thrown at the people of Britain. The article basically implies that Britain, London, especially cannot cope with the snow and over reacts. It then goes on to poorly try and explain our current political antics of Gordon Brown and the Labour government. But then the line "In a country where discussing the weather is a national sport," I become angry at the level of ignorence placed in the knowledge of our country, that we in fact are all from the 1930's and stand aroudn and talk about the weather. This image of a 1930's toffs and cockney londoners as being the only inhabitants of Britain was then heightened by him then saying how the press had used their headlines and stories to rile up and had "evoked the doughty, resilient Londoner during the Blitz,". To compare the snow to the Blitz in World War Two is insensitive and again ignorant!!
After reading that and then the rest of the article I was livid and had a good old rant to my mother and she just nodded along. And now i'm ranting on here. Sorrry!!

Anyway college is cancelled for rest of the week and I'm hoping to get a few more snaps on my vintage camera of the snow :) There is something so exciting about using film cameras and then waiting to get them developed and seeing photos for the first time :D

"I don't want to go."

First Day of 2010. I slept in loads and loads then did nothing. I tried really hard to start doing my work but I have so much I don't really know where to start. 4 A Levels in Media, English Language, History and Drama is a biatch.
Its piling highh!!

Last night I was a boring teenager and young person and stayed in. This was partly out of my control as none of my immediate friends had awesome parties. There were only parties of friends of friends which may have proved to dangerous. But it was lovely as i stayed in with my boyf and drunk loads, and watched films nd brought in the new year together. We managed to run outside and see loads of fireworks at midnight too. Was great :) but i shall party loads this year to make up for our lazing in.

Last episode of Doctor Who with the legend that is David Tennant, the tenth doctor, and I have to say it was a pretty emotional watch. Doctor Who is the program that has got to be one of my top nerd indulgences and one which you can actually admit to on such things as Facebook and occasionally at college. The storylines never fail to entertain the audiences and have the biggest shocks and twists ever. For example in the end episode you think 'yes the doctor has just cheated death' yet you then here the gentle knocking of Wilfred on the glass which, if truth be told, sent chills down the spine of everyone watching. Just that sound of the four taps, scary. But I am so excited about Matt Smith who will be replacing David Tennant. David was always the ladies man Doctor who fell in love etc.. but as Matt is alot younger he has got to be so much more fun and possibly more careless. definitely cannot wait.

I suppose there will be a few more mentions of Dr Who before it comes back so I shall leave it here with a fond farewell to the very attractive and talented David Tennant and thank you for opening the door to another equally attractive Doctor Matt Smith.

I bought these new ribbon thingies to go in my hair. I think they look cool. College will be the test so until wednesday I will be experimenting with all the different ways I can possibly wear them. Yesterday was a cutesy 'i have a bow in my hair' today (after watching Some like it Hot) I went for a 1920's inspired look. and FYI Marilyn Monroe was one hot, curvy mama and yet not that great at singing, it has to be said.
Definitely got everything in this post.

Peace. xx
